Whether your organization has goals related to K-12 education, higher education, mentorship, or workforce development, we’re ready to connect! Together we can support historically underrepresented students in developing their career skills and we can build a more diverse workforce – all while boosting your organization’s brand awareness and employee engagement.
But there’s a disconnect between employers, colleges, and schools that’s leaving both sides underserved. Employers face inconsistent access and mentorship opportunities with students. Students face disconnected systems, unclear pathways, and limited exposure to real-world career opportunities. That’s where partnerships come in!

Based in Richmond, California, Making Waves consists of Making Waves Academy – a public charter school with 1,100 students in 5th through 12th grade – and Making Waves Education Foundation – a Bay Area intermediary nonprofit focused on supporting young people with education and career programs to achieve economic mobility. We’re heading into an exciting new chapter at Making Waves and we hope you’ll join the momentum.
