As Chief of External Affairs at Making Waves Education Foundation, Allison leads the vision and strategy for external affairs to ensure the organization advances its vision to increase the number of underrepresented students who achieve college and career success. Allison discovered her passion for education as an elementary teacher in St. Louis, Missouri with Teach For America and was recently the board chair of a charter management organization that serves 1600 students in East San Jose. Most recently, Allison served as the Vice President of External Affairs, Finance, and Operations at Teach For America Bay Area, where she led a team to raise critical funds to fuel local work and ensured alignment among strategic priorities, revenue investments, and external branding. Allison earned a BA from University of Southern California and a Masters in Arts Management and MBA from the University of Oregon.
