Cynthia Garcia is Making Waves Education Foundation’s People & Culture Manager, focusing on talent, equity and inclusion, human resources, and event planning. She has spent the last few years in talent which drew her excitement around people operations in a non-profit setting, where she has the opportunity to build close relationships and enjoy the rewarding experience that comes with enhancing the employee experience. Cynthia attended UC Berkeley where she earned degrees in both social welfare and theater and performance studies. As a Wave-Maker alumna and a first-generation professional, Cynthia is excited to take on all things Making Waves as she knows first-hand the impact of higher education and understands the importance of increasing others’ access to college and career options.
