Julie Kirk (she/hers) is a College Coach for Making Waves Education Foundation. In this role, she supports Wave-Makers in defining and achieving their academic, personal, and professional goals. Julie received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Boise State University and her master’s degree in Higher Education from Penn State University. Her background includes experience in college admissions, education policy and advocacy, student leadership advising, cultural centers, peer mentoring programs, adult education, and new student orientation. Julie’s career as an educator is rooted in a commitment to justice and equity, and she believes that removing barriers to postsecondary access and completion is a critical part of that work. She is glad to be contributing to that vision at Making Waves Education Foundation, and finds immense joy and reward in building meaningful relationships with the Wave-Makers she serves.
