In her current role as Senior Manager of Data Strategy and Operations for Making Waves Education Foundation’s College and Alumni Program (CAP), Lauren Fong supports in all of the “behind the scenes” tasks that need to be done. She loves the variety that comes with the role – one day she might be communicating with students about events and programming, while the next she is preparing annual reports. This is in line with the diversity of experiences that make up her educational and professional background. After obtaining a degree in Zoology and Biological Anthropology at the University of Toronto, Lauren went on to serve in the Peace Corps, and obtain a second degree in Hotel Management. After working in the hospitality industry for over a decade, Lauren has been thrilled to be part of an organization that allows her to support students and give back to the community while allowing her to regularly challenge herself and grow.
