As a Making Waves Education Foundation Marketing and Storytelling Intern, Z’haria Anderson (she/her) develops impactful marketing content, supports storytelling projects, and conducts brand analyses to support the foundation’s strategic goals. Z’haria is a second-year business administration major at the University of Southern California. She is passionate about public service and educational advocacy, working with nonprofits to advance equity on a national scale. Z’haria has spoken at four national conferences and has engaged with more than 20 state and national senators, including during a recent congressional briefing on Capitol Hill, where she shared policy recommendations to improve K–12 education access for underserved youth. Her lived experience and leadership inform her commitment to creating meaningful change. Z’haria is excited to contribute to an organization that has supported her educational journey and is proud to help uplift first-generation students pursuing higher education.
