Simren Sandhu (she/her) is a first-year student at Harvard College. This school year marks Simren’s first year being involved in the Making Waves Student Advisory Committee. She brings her experience from working with Youth Vs. Apocalypse, where she learned the importance of ensuring all voices are heard in collaborative spaces. Simren is passionate about advocating for her peers and contributing to the resources Making Waves offers to support students. She is committed to helping bridge the gaps many Making Waves scholarship recipients face in their transition to college, including challenges like adjusting to academic workloads, culture shocks, and imposter syndrome. Through her role, Simren hopes to create positive change that empowers students to thrive in college and beyond.
