Monica Flores Tapia (she/her) is currently a senior at San Jose State University, majoring in biology, and plans to graduate in spring 2025. This school year marks Monica’s first year serving on the Making Waves Student Advisory Committee, where she looks forward to collaborating with peers, sharing perspectives, and contributing to the program’s growth. Monica values the opportunity to connect with others who share similar experiences and to expand her skills outside of her major. Her strong discipline and commitment to staying on track have been key to her success in balancing a rigorous academic schedule with meaningful extracurricular involvement.
