Miles (he/him) is an enthusiastic College Success Coach at Making Waves Education Foundation. In this role, Miles strives to help students see the potential they possess to positively impact the outcome of any situation life may throw at them. As a native of California, Miles spent his undergraduate years at Fresno State where he earned a B.A. in criminology with a minor in business. After working as a police office in Concord, CA, he realized he was not impacting his community in the way he envisioned, so he resigned. He then went on to earn his M.A. in organization and leadership from the University of San Francisco. While in graduate school he was privileged enough to work as a College Completion Coach at College Track – Oakland where his passion for coaching and supporting young scholars aligned. Eventually, he went on to work as an Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admission at the University of San Francisco. At USF he supported students from across the country reach their goal of attending and graduating from a four-year institution. Miles finds joy in helping students live up to their potential, which he believes is limitless.
