Ana Calderon is a Financial Services Manager for Making Waves Education Foundation. In this role, she supports Wave-Makers by providing financial aid advising to ensure they graduate from college with minimal debt. Ana was born in Mexico and came to the U.S. when she was three years old. She is the oldest of five children, and grew up in East Palo Alto, CA. She is a first-generation college graduate. In 2001, she was awarded a full scholarship to UC Berkeley as an Incentive Awards Scholar. She received her bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. What she finds most meaningful about working at Making Waves Education Foundation is supporting students with their yearly financial plan and administering their scholarship. By providing financial assistance, this allows students to have more time to focus on their studies.
