Making Waves is launching the Level Up Budget Study to help current scholarship recipients in our Making Waves College and Career Success Program strengthen their financial skills and build confidence with money management. 

When you sign up, you’ll be randomly assigned to one of two groups: 

  • An online budgeting course (self-paced, mobile-friendly – if paced weekly, 30 min a week for 6 weeks) 
  • An online budgeting course PLUS 1:1 financial coaching (30 minute sessions)

Why should I take this course?

By the end of the course, you will:

  • Build healthy financial habits by tracking all expenses, prioritizing needs first, and building emergency savings
  • Have a monthly & term budget that incorporates both personal expenses and financial aid refunds

What will I receive?

Students who complete the course will:

  • Receive a FREE 1-year membership to the You Need A Budget (YNAB) app 💻 
  • Be automatically entered into a raffle to win a $100, $150, or $200 gift card 🎉 (if course is completed by December 1)
