Felipe Villalobos (he/him/his) is from San Pablo, California and graduated from Making Waves Academy. He is now a Senior at Kettering University in Flint, Michigan and is a part of the Rotational Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op program at General Motors Flint Assembly. Since arriving at Kettering University in 2020, he has gotten involved with many clubs and organizations around campus like the National Society of Black Engineers, the Black Student Union, the Asian American Association, International Club, and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers – where he has held positions like Vice President and currently President. Felipe has also served as a mentor and change maker both inside and outside of his school community. Planning and implementing community activities for minority students in the community and serving as a representative for the junior class and multicultural student organization. He is committed and brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the Making Waves Education Foundation Student Advisory Committee.
