Mr. Yuen brings financial expertise and analytical rigor to the Making Waves board. He is an advisor to Cypress Capital Group, a real estate investment partnership, and a retired partner of SPO Partners, where he led the firm’s investments in wireless telephony towers, offshore drilling rigs, and oil and gas producers. Mr. Yuen serves on the Rice University Board of Trustees and the Menlo School Board of Trustees. Previously, he served on the Stanford GSB Management Board, the UCSF Foundation Investment Committee, Harvard China Advisory Board, and the Phillips Brooks School Board of Trustees. Mr. Yuen received his BA from Rice University, MA from Harvard University, and MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He and his wife, Dr. Sandra Tsai, an associate professor at Stanford University School of Medicine, have three sons and live in Atherton, California.
