LL COOL J Inspires Wave-Makers to Follow Their Life Dreams

Last week, LL COOL J visited Making Waves Academy to talk education and life dreams with our Wave-Makers.

LL COOL J—Kennedy Center Honoree, two-time Grammy® Award winner, NAACP Image Award winner, recording artist, actor, author, entrepreneur, and philanthropist—spent time visiting a music class, touring the campus, and addressing the Academy’s Upper School students about the importance of education and how his upbringing influenced his success.

In reflecting on the significance of the school’s name Making Waves Academy, LL COOL J encouraged the students to dream their biggest dreams: “Making Waves is the best name because that’s what you want to do in life. You don’t just want to make the wave; you want to ride the wave. You can do anything you put your mind to, as long as you execute a plan and have faith. I’m proof. If I can do it, you can do it, because the sun shines on everybody.”
