Graduate School Planning

Graduate school planning

Graduate school is an option to continue to pursue your academic studies or research interests, whether right out of your undergraduate experience or after gaining work experience. There are options for getting Master of Arts (MA), Master of Science (MS), Master of Fine Arts (MFA), or Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees.

There are also options to pursue law school for a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, medical school for a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, or dental school for a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DSS) degree. In addition, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) is an option for specialized fields.

Thinking of graduate school but unsure where to begin? Here is a timeline of how you can begin planning and the steps you’ll need to take to make a plan for graduate school–including reflecting on your goals and choosing a program, preparing your application materials, and evaluating your offers.
