Mental Health Services

Years of experience have taught us that a holistic approach is critical if we want Wave-Makers to reach the goal of obtaining a bachelor's degree. We realized quite rapidly that our Wave-Makers and their families were often in dire need of mental health services, and that providing psychological care would become a vital piece of the program, making our students' achievement possible. Therapists and interns associated with Making Waves supply students and their families with counseling and assessment in individual, group, and family settings, addressing issues involving grief, drugs, alcohol, domestic violence, educational challenges, and learning differences.
