"Making Waves nurtured my drive to succeed and was committed to my academic goals by investing in my potential, so that I would not be deterred by environmental or financial limitations."

The Making Waves Foundation College and Alumni Program (CAP) is a national trailblazer for its focus on college success. CAP provides 1:1 college coaching, personal financial coordination, need-based scholarships of up to $10,000 annually (for a maximum of 6 years) and a variety of professional and peer networking opportunities.
From the day students are admitted to college, CAP Coaches are partners on their journey to graduation. CAP Coaches check in with their students (Wave-Makers) regularly and help them navigate the transition to and through college and empower them to establish academic and social networks. To minimize college debt, the CAP financial aid team partners with every student to understand the financial impact of each decision and then works to maximize scholarship and grant opportunities.
