Aisha Farley

My name is Aisha Farley and I am a College Financial Services Coordinator here at Making Waves! From a young age, the importance of education was instilled in me; I grew up in upstate New York as the daughter of teachers. In 2012, I graduated from... Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Africana Studies. At Tufts, I had the opportunity to study abroad for a semester in Ghana, West Africa and intern at different social justice organizations in the Greater Boston area. After graduating, I worked in many aspects of education and youth development work: from organizing community gardens in Los Angeles to working in administrative and academic support at a Bay Area high school. Most recently, I completed an apprenticeship at an educational farm in Marin County. All of these experiences have reinforced my commitment to higher education access and the myriad of opportunities it brings. I am thrilled to work with the students and families in the CAP program in determining the right college fit and learning about financial literacy.
